[Constantine Kermit the Frog has revealed his true motives for bringing you all here. What was once a warm and welcoming house has now become your prison, encased in five feet of snow. If it's any comfort, be glad that the heater and electricity still seem to be working. For now. Perhaps searching for an escape route would be in your best interests.

Investigating The Attic

[Jareth can't help but be drawn to high places, so once he's had something to eat and cleaned up, he climbs up to the attic. he's kept the door open so he can hear anyone approaching, and starts to rifle through things. you can tell so much about someone by the things they hide. maybe that strange frog has hidden something up here among Emily's things... humans do like to hide their things in attics. the things you learn when you're pretending to be an ordinary owl... he hums to himself as he rummages]

[Emily doesn't have much to hide up here! It's the same general clutter of stuff you'd find in the basement, except... huh.

That's weird. There's a shelf over here that's been suspiciously covered up with a cloth.]

[Jareth finds a snowglobe of a rainbow, full of glitter, and hangs on to it, thinking that maybe Sarah will like it. but the shelf catches his eye, and he meanders over, reaching out to carefully pull the sheet away. he doesn't want to dislodge and potentially break anything underneath, after all]

[Underneath the cloth he'll find nothing but a collection of harmless, if highly cursed, dolls of some kind. There's a few familiar faces in the mix. One or two in particular might stand out, though.]

[interesting. can he sense the curse on these, the way he can sense the other people in the house? either way, he picks up the little tiny one next to Boober and wonders what on Earth it is. and how it can move around if it's blind and has no eyes, only that funny yellow hat. that should be sufficient to kill time until there's an answer. if it's not, he'll just pick up his own and scrutinize it to see how many details they got right. ... wait, is he really that glittery? really? God, that's a lot of glitter]

[Not really! Everything indicates they're completely normal dolls. Looking at them just fills everyone with a sense of impending doom that they can't quite place. And it's very, very glittery. Good luck getting all of that off of your hands.

Anyways, normally we'd tell you not to steal but Emily isn't home so go wild.]

[Sarah is following Jareth curious about what's up in the attic, as well, so she's happened to find her way up her and oh look there's Jareth! What a coincidence.

She walks up behind him, not even trying to be sneaky]

What did you find?

[Her eyes get wide when she sees what's in his hand]

That's... [They get even wider and she gasps when she sees the shelf] Is that me?! And... the worm?

[he steps aside so she can see]

Curious, aren't they? Ever seen anything like them?

[She shakes her head, gingerly reaching out to pick up her figure... that happens to be wearing the same exact outfit she is.]

No. And I'd definitely remember someone making a doll of me. This doesn't look hand made. It's made of plastic!

[he flashes her a tiny, knowing smile. You Know Who would have loved these]

Charming as they might look, I don't think I care for them. Something's not right.

[She's picking up what you're putting down. She smiles a little, remembering how excited Hoggle had gotten about her plastic bracelet.]

Not right? You mean other than the fact that they exist?

Yes. Just ... take a moment and think. How did you feel, before you came in here? And how do you feel, now?

[he can't put his finger on exactly what it is, but it's an awful feeling, like the emotional version of thinking you see something out of the corner of your eye.]

It may be best if we leave these where I found them.

[She frowns] You're right... I hadn't thought about it before you mentioned it but there is something. [She shudders and puts her little doll back where it was, next to the teeny worm.]

I'm perfectly happy leaving them alone.

Where to next, then? I can confidently say there's nothing in the kitchen.

[he's not about to share the cereal. It's delicious and full of sugar and all his]
