[In the kitchen, Sarah might hear a squeak coming from the cupboards, and then, a creak as it opens slightly.

Monty pops his head out, legs bunched up by his body. When he sees her, he seems to relax a little.]

Is the coast clear?

[She's not the only one on edge from the Wilkins™ incident.]

[Sarah jumps a little at the movement, brandishing a teaspoon at the offending cupboard. But when she sees it's the odd fellow she's seen Jareth talking to she relaxes]

As far as I can tell, yeah. [She pauses] Have you been in there all night?

[He hesitates a little before answering.]

...Yeah.

[He looks kind of embarrassed. He's not yellow-bellied or anything...]

[She smiles a little]

It's okay. I'm scared, too.

[She holds out a hand to him]

I'm Sarah. I'm [... she doesn't want to call him a friend, but what else does she call Jareth? uuuhhh] I know the Goblin King, Jareth.

[He mumbles a "I'm not scared" under his breath, but he takes her hand with his grubby little one all the same.]

Monty. Mad Monty.

[When she says she knows Jareth, he seems to brighten up a bit.]

How do you know the King?

[ooohh how should she put this...]

He, uh, kidnapped my brother and was going to keep him and turn him into a goblin. I had to solve his Labyrinth to get my brother back...

[and, you know, he tried to kill all her friends and get her to stay with him forever and ever and is kind of a creeper like that... I mean what?]

[He nods, as if none of those things are unappealing or wrong to him.]

I knew he was a great man...

Um... Do you want to come out to the living room with me? It'd be more comfortable than the cupboard.

[He gives a cautious sweep side-to-side. He wouldn't like to make himself vulnerable to the Wilkins coffee horror if he were to leave the cupboard.]

...Mind helping me down?

[She smiles and reaches out]

Sure! Come on, I'll give you a hand.

[She'll gently pick him up and set him on the floor]

[He seems to be a little grumpy about the whole affair at first, but, it's a kind act with good intentions, and he finds himself a little flustered by it.

Safely down on the floor, he doesn't quite look at her when he speaks.]

...Thank you.

[She smiles]
