Welcome to the 69th Muppet Family Reunion! (Plus Extended Family)
[You received the invitation for the Muppet Family Reunion about a week ago. These reunions have become a routine thing for you and the extended Muppet Family. Whether it be by plane, car, cave tunnel, or magic, you made your way to Emily Bear's house and settled in for the night. Emily Bear was nowhere in sight to greet you, but, surely that's nothing to be worried about.
However, upon waking up, you'll find that a fierce blizzard has descended upon the house overnight--several feet of snow have piled up on the front porch, and, from the looks of it, the snow won't let up anytime soon. Not to mention the fact that Emily is still not here.
Something feels wrong, but you can't quite put your finger on it.
You may notice a small note pinned to the wall where you slept, which reads:]
COME TO LIVING ROOM AT NOON FOR IMPORTANT FAMILY MEETING :)
[Whatever this meeting is about, you have some time to explore the house and chat with the other people gathered here.]
(ooc: Welcome to the Muppet Murder Hour mock trial week! The host NPC will show up around 5 pm est. Until then, feel free to explore the house and interact with everyone else!)

[he does still love her, after all. even if she broke his heart. he crosses his arms, unwilling to fold so easily]
But now, I think, you must apologize first.

[for starters]

Okay... I'm... sorry for calling you helpless.

Yeah. Hopefully Emily knows what's going on. Where should we start?

[he gestures toward the stairs. after all, thinking as a child stolen by fairies and goblins, himself, one of the first things you do to someone you don't want causing a ruckus is put them to sleep. and if whoever stole his powers can use them, that would be, as his current companion is so fond of saying, a piece of cake]

[She starts towards the stairs. Normally, she'd be concerned about him being behind her, but she can't be paranoid if they're meant to be working together]
no subject
Normally, I'd just be able to tell - the way I knew which room of your house was Toby's. Once we reach the second floor, I may still be able to.
no subject
I hope so... it would save us from having to knock on everyone's doors.
no subject
That's the general idea.
[as they reach the top of the stairs, however, he frowns. his boots come down lightly on the carpeted runner, and he holds up a hand, tilting his head as though listening]
I can sense someone else ... that strange blue author fellow who woke me up this morning ... and maybe someone else in the attic above. But not Emily. And she wasn't on the first floor, either.
no subject
She makes a face]
Ugh, strange is right. He kept talking about narrators and stories and wasn't making any sense at all. [She pauses] Can you tell who's in the attic?
no subject
There may be. If they are, they're very small. Possibly a mouse.
no subject
[She sighs] So we're nowhere closer to figuring out what's going on here. What do we do, now?
[Yes, Jareth, she's actually asking your advice about something.]

[a pause] At least we don't have to wait 13 hours.
