Welcome to the 69th Muppet Family Reunion! (Plus Extended Family)
[You received the invitation for the Muppet Family Reunion about a week ago. These reunions have become a routine thing for you and the extended Muppet Family. Whether it be by plane, car, cave tunnel, or magic, you made your way to Emily Bear's house and settled in for the night. Emily Bear was nowhere in sight to greet you, but, surely that's nothing to be worried about.
However, upon waking up, you'll find that a fierce blizzard has descended upon the house overnight--several feet of snow have piled up on the front porch, and, from the looks of it, the snow won't let up anytime soon. Not to mention the fact that Emily is still not here.
Something feels wrong, but you can't quite put your finger on it.
You may notice a small note pinned to the wall where you slept, which reads:]
COME TO LIVING ROOM AT NOON FOR IMPORTANT FAMILY MEETING :)
[Whatever this meeting is about, you have some time to explore the house and chat with the other people gathered here.]
(ooc: Welcome to the Muppet Murder Hour mock trial week! The host NPC will show up around 5 pm est. Until then, feel free to explore the house and interact with everyone else!)

Here now, what's all this racket? Some of us flew in very late last night, and would like to be fashionably late for brunch, if you catch my meaning. Do take your grievances to someone awake enough to care.

One of those types of characters, huh. Well, there's one in every story.]
I am taking my grievances to someone awake enough to care. I wasn't complaining to you. Maybe you shouldn't eavesdrop on important authors at work.

[you know, in case you forgot in the 2 seconds it's been since he last pointed that out.]
And in this context it means you were listening to me yell at someone who isn't you.
[Dickens then squints judgmentally, eyeing Jareth up and down for a second or so.]
Hmmm.... are you sure you're a King? Your character design doesn't really fit the bill. I'd probably cast you as more of a pop star, if you asked me.

[how's THAT for an answer? Jareth rolls his eyes, so unpleased with this little thing's attitude. seriously, have a little respect, would you? he doesn't care how important you think you are, he's a legitimate monarch of an actual kingdom, not ... some scribbler of little words]
Quite sure. King of the Goblins, as appointed by the King before me, in a very long and timeless line. I don't know what the devil a pop star is. Now if you'll excuse me, I should go get properly dressed and go find our hostess...

[It's been a while since Dickens got to deal with someone with such a defined... well, character. Finally, personality he can work with in a script.]
What, you mean that's not your typical outfit? Because I think adding a shirt to the costume would really bring down the whole piece. Make less of a statement, if you know what I mean. The shirtless entrance was such a defining character moment that you might as well just follow through.

Oh, trust me, I still know how to make a statement. One doesn't get to be royalty without learning such things.
[he gives Dickens a Charismatic Wink™ and goes back into his room to get dressed. see you downstairs!]
