Mock Investigation

[Friday morning rolls around, and you find yourself waking to a familiar sense of dread. Something is wrong again-- more wrong than everything else that's already happened throughout the week, that is.

But the rest of the house is quiet, as far as you can tell, and the area outside of the bedrooms seems to be clear of any sort of scene. Maybe the fear is unfounded.

Still, there's a few other floors of the house to search through, and it might be best just to be thorough in checking to make sure nothing happened overnight. You know, to be certain that Wilkins didn't snap another neck or something.

[There's not much to see, as far as the head's concerned. It's a severed head, everything's about what you'd expect-- but there's some slight spots of blood all over her beak that stand out.]

That's weird.

[He'd have thought there'd just be blood all over. Is her beak damaged in any way?]

[themuppeteers]

[Nope! There's just blood on it that probably shouldn't be there. Even a fake doctor like Bunsen might find it odd.

...Then again, most of this blood in places where it shouldn't be. Outside of Camilla's body. But that's fine.]

[WHO ARE YOU CALLING A FAKE-

Does the blood all belong to Camilla? Or is there so much that there might be someone else injured too?]

[There's only enough blood here for one body--at least, as far as Bunsen can tell.]

[Oh worm

Is that all for her head? He'll return to the body very soon.]

[Yep! That's all. Wanna look at the rest of this chicken?]

[BOY DOES HE EVER- yes he'll investigate-]

[Welllllll the first thing that Bunsen will notice is a very large amount of blood leaking from her neck, as there should be after a beheading. Wanna poke the body?]

Okay,take 2 of joining in.

B... Bunsen?

[Sarah's standing near the doorway, not wanting to get too close. She swallows before continuing]

Uh... Have you found anything?

[Jareth isn't far behind. after the scare in the attic he isn't letting her out of his sight]

... I think he did.

[he claps a hand over his mouth. Not as bad as the Bog of Eternal Stench, but still pretty gruesome]

Hey! I've found a couple of clues, and this next to the murder weapon.

[The scientist procures a certain funko pop. Looks familiar, right?

Anyway the blood's sort of scrambling his brain, so if anyone wants to go ahead with the body feel free-!]

[She'd already seen the horror on the floor, but she's glad that someone else is doing the investigating, especially since he's a doctor and presumably knows what he's doing.

When she sees that figure her eyes grow as wide as dinner plates.]

What?! Why would someone put that there?! I... [She looks between Jareth and Bunsen] I hope no one thinks I have anything to do with this!

I don't know- I have a theory someone might be framing you, it's too early to tell whodunit.

[but he believes in you, Sarah!]

What did you guys find?

W... we saw that the figure was gone from the attic.

But... but... why would someone try to frame me?!

[Sorry, Bunsen, she's a little preoccupied by the fact that SOMEONE'S FRAMING HER FOR MURDER!!]

[Jareth lets Sarah talk out the matter of the little figurines - she knows Bunsen better, anyway - and he moves to inspect the corpse]

Well, something fowl's definitely happened here.

[he uses the toe of his boot to try and turn the headless body away from the pool of blood]

[Bunsen stifles a laugh at that pun-

After clearing his throat, he shrugs.]

Not sure. I have a feeling we'll find out soon enough.
